Summary
The email masking feature allows DeleteMe users to create placeholder email addresses to use in lieu of your own personal email address. Masked emails allow users to prevent data aggregators from collecting their personal email address and add a layer of obfuscation between the member and any service they choose to use email masking for.
Use Cases

Masking Objectives
- Prevent harassment, spam, and other unwanted emails
What is a masked email?
A masked email is a temporary email address that can be used to protect a user's privacy. The address can be discarded or changed after a certain period of time or after a specific event, such as after a user has completed a registration process or after a user has unsubscribed from a mailing list.
How does DeleteMe secure the email data?
Our mail service uses the newest version of TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocol to provide data encryption and authentication between applications in all scenarios where the data is being sent across a network. All the email data gets encrypted before being stored. Email boxes and messages can be permanently deleted when no longer needed. We observe the maximum practicable encryption key lengths.
Can I still reply to emails when the masking feature is enabled?
Yes, you can still reply to emails as normal. The masking feature only affects the email address that is visible to the recipient, not your ability to reply to emails. You cannot reply or send emails from your temporary inbox in your DeleteMe account.
How long does DeleteMe store the masked emails in the inbox?
You can select between 1 day to 2 months.
Can I still receive emails to my personal email address while using the masking feature?
When forwarding is enabled, any emails sent to the masked email address will be forwarded to your personal email address.
