Can Masked phones be used for account verification?

Unfortunately some US phone carriers will not allow forwarding of "short-code messages." 

This means that some of the texts used for user authentication by websites like Google and Facebook may not be compatible with Masked Phone numbers at this time.

We hope carriers loosen these restrictions in the near future.
