Overview

There are many data brokers that will not fully process a data removal request without a final confirmation from the user in question.  In these cases, DeleteMe identifies the data exposure and submits the initial opt-out on behalf of the user; generally, the data broker will send a confirmation email to the user to finalize the opt-out.  This is a requirement established by a sub-set of data brokers and each individual must complete the confirmation process to finalize the removal.  Typically, each data broker will send the final confirmation to the email they have in their records.  

This is not a DeleteMe process, but rather a requirement/process established by each individual data broker.  DeleteMe does not dictate when data brokers send confirmation emails.
