Block Party’s autoscans take care of this for you. Once you’re set up, we’ll automatically check your accounts each month, flagging any new risks and providing clear recommendations. It’s like a routine check-up for your online presence—catching issues before they become problems, so you don’t have to worry.

With each monthly report, you'll have the information you need to quickly fine-tune your online exposure, ensuring ongoing, proactive protection. Some months, you might not need to take any action at all—that’s the beauty of it. You’ll know you’re safe, with minimal effort on your part.

What are autoscans?

Every month, Block Party will run a scan on 200+ settings across your accounts to identify any new risks or areas of exposure. This hands-off approach stops you from finding out your data is being used in ways you didn't intend, and eliminates the need to regularly sift through endless settings pages to keep your accounts safe. Once the scan is complete, a report will hit your inbox with clear, actionable steps to remediate any issues, or you’ll get a nice reminder that your accounts are still protected, giving you peace of mind without the hassle.

How can I use it?

When you first sign up for Block Party, you’ll go through an initial checklist for each of the platforms you use. After that, you never have to worry about checking it again—Block Party will continuously monitor for changes and keep you covered over time.

In order for scanning to initiate, you’ll need to be logged into Block Party with your browser open. You’ll also want to make sure you’re logged into your social accounts. Once those steps are done, Block Party will handle the rest. Here’s what to expect:

1. Scanning will start in the background

At the time of your scheduled monthly autoscans, your browser will quietly open new windows in the background to kick things off. Only accounts you’re logged into will be scanned.

2. We’ll identify vulnerabilities across your accounts

During the scan, Block Party will look for potential risks and exposures across your accounts. If a platform rolls out new settings that affect your privacy, we’ll catch it here.

When the scan runs, it will look similar to Block Party’s automations – the extension will navigate through different pages, doing the work on your behalf. Scanning is unobtrusive, but visible, giving you the option to follow along if you’d like.

3. You’ll get a full report

After scanning is complete, an email will land in your inbox with actionable insights and next steps to keep your accounts secure. If there’s nothing to worry about, we’ll confirm that your accounts are still up to date. If there are any issues, you’ll receive tailored recommendations with direct links to update settings or enable automations that fix problems instantly.
